Expansion of Polish locations and new plant in Slovakia

The strong demand for heat pump technology as well as the challenge of combining alternative energy sources in existing and new buildings, create a very high demand for hot water and buffer storage systems. Winkelmann Building+Industry will therefore extensively expand its leading role in the development and production of innovative water storage, water pressurization, water degassing and water distribution concepts based on future requirements. In the short term, more than 200 million euros will be invested for this purpose.
For the two Polish plants in Legnica and Wabrzezno, capacity will be expanded and the level of automation further increased. In addition, a logistics center will be added to the plant in Wabrzezno.
In Slovakia, a new plant for the production of hot water tanks is being built in Rimavská Sobota.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the planned investment was signed on 27 April 2023 which created great media interest. The signatories were the CEO of the Winkelmann Group, the Slovakian Prime Minister and the Slovakian Minister of Economy.
Production is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2025. 450 new jobs will be created.
