Strategic expansion in the Flowforming business unit

As a further strategic expansion in our Flowforming business unit, we have acquired 100% of Wärmebehandlung Magdeburg GmbH (WBM), based in Magdeburg, with retroactive effect from 1 March 2023. WBM is a strategically important supplier of Winkelmann MSR Technology (WMT) in Ahlen.

WBM currently employs 10 people and is a subcontractor specialising in various hardening processes. These include plasma nitriding, annealing up to 1,050 °C, induction and flame hardening as well as case hardening (furnace/salt bath) and vacuum hardening up to 1,300 °C. These processes are required for WMT products, especially in the defence & security sector.

With the acquisition, the Flowforming business unit takes the next step in vertical process integration and positions itself even more attractively and completely for customers and business partners.

At this point in time, the first steps towards integrating WBM into the Winkelmann Group and the Flowforming business division have already been started. We are looking forward to the future cooperation and say a "warm welcome to the Flowforming family" to our colleagues from WBM.
