The Winkelmann Group, headquartered in Ahlen, Germany, is an internationally positioned group of companies for industrial solutions of high-performance and energy-efficient components and systems. In the 2024 financial year, we generated sales of about € 660 million. Christian Knechtel has been managing the family business – which was founded in 1898 – as the first non-family CEOsince July 2024.

As a leader for industrial solutions of energy-efficient and high-performance systems and components - our core competence - we develop innovative products for renowned customers in the automotive, utility, and aerospace industries. We manufacture at 14 production sites in Germany, Poland, Turkey, China, the USA, and Mexico. With 15 sales and distribution companies, we are present in 12 countries.

Our divisions - Automotive, Building+Industry, Flowforming and Construction Components - enable us to provide clients with individual, holistic advice on all metalworking processes - so that a product is created as desired and step by step in all relevant aspects, taking into account all mechanical and ecological requirements. We are particularly well known for our famous companies and business areas such as Winkelmann Automotive, Winkelmann Building + Industry, Winkelmann Flowforming, Winkelmann Construction Components and Winkelmann Erneuerbare Energien. Our services range from sample part production to large-scale manufacturing. Our Steel Services division complements our range of products and is a dependable service provider to steel processors.

We have enjoyed more than 120 years of success. And our more than 4,000 employees worldwide are the reason for this. The majority, 2,100 employees, work in Poland with a further 1,200 employees based in Germany. Together, we are continuing the tradition of the Winkelmann Group.

In 2018, the Große Kleimann estate was converted into a training centre with 5 conference rooms. The conference rooms range in size from 17 to 200 sqm. With its geographical location, the Gut Große Kleimann / Reflex Training Centre is an ideal place to hold conferences in a green and relaxed atmosphere. Here you have the necessary peace and quiet for intensive work and successful learning as well as the environment for a relaxed breath of fresh air. Our conference and training center is designed for partner assemblers, but also as a training area for employees. All rooms are equipped with the latest conference technology. Our experienced conference team is happy to provide you with advice and support from planning to completion.

The Boarding House, built in 2018, is available for overnight stays for all employees, customers and partners who are visiting Ahlen. In 10 individually designed single rooms, guests can feel at home and relax after a hard day's work. On the top floor there is a common room where breakfast is also served.
